Lorrainne's Story

I graduated from Miller High School in 1968 and attended Del Mar Jr. College for 2 years. I got married in 1971 and moved to Kingsville, Tx and graduated from Texas A&I University in 1973 with a BS in Secondary Ed with English and Speech as my teaching fields. I later got certified in Elementary Ed as well. I taught for 4 years and then took a 10-year break from teaching to start a family. We had 2 daughters. My husband's job moved us around South Texas so during my 40 years of marriage (I am now divorced), I lived in Kingsville, Corpus, Rio Hondo, McAllen, Falfurrias, and finally Laredo, where I have lived for the past 20 years. ago after 27 years of teaching to help raise my 9-year-old twin granddaughters who have lived with me since birth. I am very active in my Church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) and have served as Organist and Pianist most of my adult life. I am also the Choir Director at the present time. I have attended almost all of my high school reunions and enjoy seeing and hearing from old friends. I will hopefully be attending my 45-year reunion next summer and hope to see a lot of my ex-classmates there. I love hearing from friends I've made along the way, whether you went to school with me or were one of my ex-students. Keep in touch!
